The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed regarding the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the here area every day. The assistance point designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that SRD makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and maximize access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
